senior photo session - what to expect
I work with you and your senior to create a unique photography experience that works for you.
CONSULTATION MEETING
It’s important for me to understand what you are looking for to give you the best experience possible. I like to get to know your senior - what type of hobbies they enjoy, plans for the future, what you hope to use the photos for. We’ll discuss location (typically a local park, downtown, or another place special to you), your timeframe, and what to wear. This allows us to create a custom-designed session just for you.
PHOTO SESSION
A typical senior photo session will last 2 hours. We move around our location a bit to get different backgrounds, different lighting, and different feels. A senior will typically have three outfit changes. If you have a family pet, I love to include them as well. Do they play sports, music, or have another passion? Feel free to bring along some props. We want to make this all about them!
ONLINE GALLERY
About 10 days after the photoshoot, you will receive a link to your Online Gallery. This will have approximately 75 of the best photos. It may be more or less depending on the length of the photo session, but they will be a great selection from each of your poses. You spend the time you need from the comfort of your own home and select your Favorites. You can even share the gallery with family or friends to get their favorite votes as well.
ORDERING PROCESS
Now comes the fun part! Come into my studio and you can see your photos in detail on my large computer screen. We can play around with cropping, framing, albums, and talk about different options and packages. I’m happy to offer suggestions and help answer any questions I can.

Senior photo PRICING
The Sitting Fee for a Senior Session is $195 and includes the following:
Consultation meeting to design your photoshoot
2-hours of photography on location (ex. a local park). Additional $40 fee for downtown Portland
Preparation for your yearbook submission
Post-production work (editing/photoshopping)
Personal Link to your online Gallery so you can choose your favorite photos
We archive all of your photos for one year for easy re-ordering
Print Photo Collections start at $850
Digital Collections start at $500 for 10 digital photos with copyright release
Coffee Table books start at $375
