As I finish up my 2022 Family mini sessions, I thought I would give a little shout-out to one of my families from last year - the Winscotts. A crisp, sunny Fall day is my favorite for walking through the woods!
As I prepare for my upcoming mini-sessions this weekend, I thought it would be a good time to share the Hoffman Family from their mini-session last year. The colors were so bright - I love it!
These sweet sisters surprised their Mom with the gift of portraits for Mother’s Day. We headed out to the park on a rare sunny spring day and laughed and played in the grass. I love the dandelion flowers in their hair! The photo shoot was great fun, and I know their Mom appreciated their thoughtful gift and will treasure these photos for always. Nicely done, Kayla and Jenna, you made your Mom proud!
I am blessed with wonderful neighbors who ask me take photos of their beautiful family. I can’t believe Anaya is already over a year old, here are some awesome photos from when she was just 3 months old. Baby Anaya and big brother Austin have the most adorable expressions and you can see the love in all their photos. Austin just got a big boy haircut too, he was so proud of his new hairstyle - and look how handsome! Wishing you all lots of love & laughter!
The Richardsons took advantage of my Fall mini-session with their two adorable boys. Mini-sessions can be great for families with young children - in just about 20 minutes we can get some great family and individual shots - perfect for framing, gifting, or for making holiday cards. Being the mom to three boys, I love the energy of young boys. To channel that energy into great lifestyle photos, I have them run around their parents and toss leaves into the air - so fun for them! The Whitleys are such a beautiful family and their love shines through in all their photos. When taking family photos, I love to get the whole family as a group, and also the parents together, the siblings together, and each of the siblings alone to make sure everyone gets their own time to shine! Toss in the family pets and some beautiful Fall colors with the right lighting, and voila! Gorgeous photos to hang on your walls forever! I’ve taken a lot of family photos over the years, but there’s something about taking a mom-to-be as she’s creating her own family. We had a Maternity photo shoot at Lora and Noah’s house a few weeks before Lora was due. Both mom and dad were of course super excited to meet their new baby and were happy to have photos of this special time in their lives. Enjoy their sweet photos, so full of love!
